Method & Measure

OperationsSetupBookkeeping

The structure behind your business — built right, kept running.

Whether you're just getting started or you've outgrown the way things have always been done, I handle the operations and books behind your business — the setup, the paperwork, the systems, and the numbers — so you can focus on the work only you can do.

What I Handle

Help at every stage — starting, running, and fixing.

New businesses usually start with setup. Established ones usually start with ongoing support, bookkeeping, or some mix of both. Scoped projects cover the one-time work that needs an owner from start to finish.

01 /

Business Setup

For new businesses that don't know where to start, or don't have time for the paperwork.

Registration, EIN and DBA, business banking, QuickBooks setup, client contracts, and the first systems you'll run on — done in the right order, so you start organized instead of catching up later.

02 /

Ongoing Operations Support

Day-to-day coordination, without you being the one holding it together.

Workflows, SOPs, inbox and calendar management, client onboarding, and the internal systems that keep priorities moving — documented clearly enough that they work whether or not you're in the room.

03 /

Bookkeeping and Financial Tracking

Books that are current enough to actually make a decision from.

Monthly bookkeeping, reconciliations, catch-up or cleanup work, payroll, collections, routine reports, and the cash-flow visibility to know where things stand — from a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor.

Scoped Projects

Defined work with a clear start and finish.

Operational audits, HR systems, company handbooks, SOP manuals, inventory and costing, and systems setup — scoped and quoted before anything begins.

Retainers and project rates are laid out plainly on the pricing page.

Selected Work

What this looks like in practice.

Real engagements, described by the type of business rather than by name.

Appliance repair company

$400,000 in open invoices to $0 in three months.

Receivables were piling up and there was no HR structure behind a growing team. I collected every open invoice, built a complete HR system and company handbook, and found employee documentation the government required that the owner had never been asked for.

Restaurant and bar

Decades in business. Its first real numbers.

It had run for decades without a profit-and-loss statement, an inventory system, or reliable numbers of any kind. I built an inventory system and a real P&L. Then I rewrote the cocktail and food menus, updated the POS and internal systems, and cut thousands of dollars in loss.

Hospitality group

One lounge. Then three more openings.

I set up everything behind an existing lounge and three new venues: permits, blueprints, contractor hiring, design, cocktail menus, hiring, HR and handbooks, payroll, POS setup, and bookkeeping.

Community events venue

From onboarding chaos to a repeatable process.

SOPs, a rebuilt client onboarding process, client contracts, a brand kit, live digital signage for room bookings, and ongoing inbox and calendar management. New business went up.

Service business, new ownership

Helping a new owner make it their own.

An established business that had just changed hands. I support the transition with job and inventory tracking, refreshed branding, and the day-to-day systems that let a new owner run it their way.

Training and consulting firm

Started with the inbox. Now runs the back office.

What began as inbox management grew into bookkeeping, payroll, client communication, contracts, and branding.

About

Built from inside operations.

I was COO of a multi-venue, multi-million-dollar hospitality business — responsible for the systems, people, and processes that kept it running day to day.

I've also started businesses from scratch, which means I've done the unglamorous parts myself: setting up systems, writing the documentation, hiring, running payroll, and keeping the books — before any of it was someone else's job.

I'm a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor, and the work stays grounded in what's operationally realistic, not theoretical. I don't hand over a binder and disappear. Everything I set up is documented so you and your team can run it without me.

How to Start

Three steps, starting with a conversation.

01 /

Send an inquiry

A few sentences about what's going on and what you'd like to change is plenty to start.

02 /

Talk it through

I'll ask what's actually needed and whether setup, ongoing support, bookkeeping, or a scoped project fits best.

03 /

Get a plan

You'll get a scope and a quote before anything starts, plus a clear sense of what happens first.

Get Started

Send an inquiry.

Tell me a bit about the business and what's going on — whether you're just starting out or already running. I'll follow up from there.
